Radix Aires Mateus is a steel structure designed by Aires Mateus. It was located in Venice Biennale, near the docks of Arsenal in 2012. It was created as a contemporary response to its environment in Biennale. When I first interpreted this pavilion I noticed that it was created with three different sizes and height spheres. The pavilion being located next to the water really caught my notice in the beginning. This is because the pavilion is constructed with steel meaning that it would reflect the water off the roof onto the inside surroundings of the pavilion. It would provide it's audience with a warm feeling as the steel in golden coloured. Being a dome-like shaped structure near the water it would echo the sound of the water around the environment and allow it's audience to feel relaxed and feel connected to the space. One of the sides at the main entrance is also low approximate 1m tall so an average adult wouldn't be able to enter the space through that entry, so it gives a sense of privacy for those who want to sit there and enjoy the water view
